Workshop on Analysis and Modeling of Security (WAMOS)

The WAMOS workshop will focus on leading-edge quantitative research on crime behavior, crime-fighting, planning, police resource management and homeland security, among other subjects.

Distinguished researchers from top Chilean and international universities will present on the analysis and modeling of security and delinquency from different perspectives.

We intend to identify key research challenges, future research directions, and contribute to establish new collaborations.

WAMOS will be held in Santiago of Chile, at the Casa Central, University of Chile (Av. Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins 1058, Santiago. Next to Universidad de Chile subway station), during January 4 – 7, 2010.

WAMOS is organized by the Center for Analysis and Modeling of Security of the Universidad de Chile, CEAMOS, (www.ceamos.cl) in collaboration with the Undersecretary of Chilean Carabineros (www.subsecar.cl).

In this four day workshop we aim to bring together researchers working on the analysis and modeling of security from different perspectives. There will be a broad range of presentations on key aspects of security and deliquency. We intend to identify key research challenges, future research directions, and help to establish new collaborations.
